Child Support Agreement (NZ)

Breaking up is hard to do, and even more so when there are children involved.

This child support agreement will put in writing what has been agreed between you and your ex-partner for the care and maintenance of your children moving forward.

You will need to ensure you have

• the full names of the parents entering into the agreement,
• full names and dates of birth of children covered by the agreement, and
• knowledge of the amount which will be paid, how often it will be paid.

This document is not suitable if you wish to pay an “as agreed” amount in child support. The amount that you pay must be based on regular schedular payments which can be calculated on a yearly basis.
